The Gambia Tourism Board (GTBoard) has been awarded the title of Best Tourism Marketing Agency in Africa by African Travel Quarterly (ATQ).
This recognition underscores the Board’s outstanding efforts in promoting The Gambia as a leading destination on the continent. The award highlights GTBoard’s success in showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage, diverse natural attractions, and unique experiences to a global audience.
It also affirms the Board’s commitment to adopting innovative marketing strategies that elevate The Gambia’s profile in an increasingly competitive tourism industry.
Over the past year, GTBoard has enhanced its digital presence, broadened its international campaigns, and worked closely with regional and global stakeholders to increase The Gambia’s visibility. These efforts have strengthened the destination’s appeal across different markets and contributed significantly to the growth of interest in The Gambia as “The Smiling Coast of Africa.”
This recognition as Africa’s leading tourism marketing agency is a testament to GTBoard’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability in tourism promotion.
It also reaffirms the country’s standing as a competitive destination within the African tourism landscape.
The award is expected to be presented to the board during the 21st Akwaaba African Travel Market, scheduled to take place from September 14 to 16, 2025, at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos State, Nigeria.
