The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, The Gambia, in collaboration with the Gambia Tourism Board and key industry stakeholders, is currently participating in FITUR 2026 in Madrid, Spain, one of the world’s leading international tourism trade fairs.
The Gambian delegation to the event is led by Honourable Abdoulie Jobe, Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture.
This strategic engagement underscores The Gambia’s continued commitment to strengthening its presence in the Spanish market, which has long been one of the country’s most important source markets for tourist arrivals.
Through targeted meetings, destination presentations, and stakeholder engagements, the delegation is actively promoting The Gambia’s diverse tourism offerings.
Participation at FITUR 2026 provides a vital platform to reinforce existing partnerships, explore new collaborations with Spanish tour operators and travel agents, and further position Destination Gambia as an attractive, accessible, and competitive holiday choice for Spanish travellers.
This initiative aligns with ongoing efforts to sustain growth, enhance air connectivity, and increase visitor arrivals from Spain to The Gambia.
