Air Sierra Leone’s Maiden Flight Arrived In Banjul

As recently as last week, The Gambia welcomed the arrival of Air Sierra Leone’s inaugural flight from London, marking a significant milestone in strengthening air connectivity between the United Kingdom and The Gambia.

According to officials from the Gambia Tourism Board, this new service will improve access to Destination Gambia, one of West Africa’s most welcoming and diverse tourism destinations, and reinforce the country’s strong ties with the UK market.

This new development is expected to enhance connectivity, a key factor in driving visitor arrivals, supporting the tourism value chain, and positioning The Gambia as a convenient gateway to the region.

In a separate development, the Gambia Tourism Board has recently hosted Reisehuset, a Norwegian Travel Agency, and Turkish Airlines in a strategic meeting aimed at unlocking the vast potential of the Scandinavian region.

The discussions centred on strategies to boost air traffic between Scandinavia and Banjul, with a keen focus on the opportunities presented by MICE tourism, the Gambian diaspora in the region, and travelers seeking sunshine, culture, and warm hospitality.
