The Gambia is participating in the 2nd UN Tourism and ICAO Ministerial Conference on Tourism and Air Transport in Africa, currently underway in Luanda, Angola, from 22–24 July 2025.
This important event, organized by UN Tourism, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and the Government of Angola, brings together ministers, policymakers, and industry leaders from across the continent to discuss key challenges and opportunities related to tourism and air travel.
The Gambian delegation is headed by the Honorable Abdoulie Jobe, Minister of Tourism, Culture, and included representatives from the Gambia Civil Aviation Authority and the Gambia Tourism Board.
Their participation demonstrates Gambia’s commitment to promoting sustainable tourism growth and enhancing air connectivity across Africa, thereby promoting, marketing, and branding Destination Gambia.
