Gambia Wins Jollof Rice Competition In Ghana

The Gambia won this year’s West Africa Food Festival Jollof rice competition category, which took place over the weekend in Accra, Ghana.  The competition was between The Gambia, Nigeria, and Ghana.
The festival brought together chefs from different countries in Africa to showcase, promote, network, and share best practices through food, cultural means, music, and storytelling.
The Gambia has been represented at this important event by the Chefs Association of The Gambia, under the presidency of Chef Haruna Musa Darboe.
It is worth noting that our great country, The Gambia, also known as the Smiling Coast of Africa, is expected to host next year’s food festival.
