Musa Darboe, a Gambian Nollywood actor, paid a courtesy call on Honourable Abdoulie Jobe, Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, earlier this week at his office in Banjul.
The actor, accompanied by his wife, was at the Ministry to inform the Minister about preparations for the upcoming launch of his latest movie, Cruel Love.
The movie’s launch is scheduled for Saturday, 25th January 2025, at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Centre in Bijilo.
During discussions with Minister Jobe, Mr. Darboe expressed his readiness to work with the Gambian authorities to promote Destination Gambia to the outside world.
He said The Gambia has a unique culture which if properly nurtured would yield positive results for the country.
On receiving the actor and his wife, Minister Jobe thanked them for the visit and encouraged them to keep up the momentum.
The Minister further stated his Ministry’s commitment to working with them for the mutual benefit of the country.
“We are proud of what you are doing. Keep it up. We will give you the necessary support to strive for higher heights,” he assured.
