In recognition of their dedication, effort, and expertise in water safety, the Gambia Tourism Board has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with The Gambia: Red Dolphin Lifeguard Volunteers, a committed group of trained lifeguards who have long served as silent guardians along The Gambia’s vibrant coastline.
The signing ceremony, held at the GTBoard headquarters on Thursday, 9th April 2026, brought together senior officials from both organisations and underscored a shared commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of tourists and local beachgoers alike.
The MOU formalises a partnership that will see both parties collaborate on a range of water safety initiatives, including regular beach patrols, public awareness campaigns, and emergency response coordination across The Gambia’s most frequented coastal areas.
