New Tourism PS Urges Staff To Be Punctual At Work

Mrs. Amie Njie-Joof, the new Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, has urged her staff to arrive on time and consistently meet deadlines.
She made these remarks during a meeting she had with the staff on Monday, 4th April, 2025, at the Ministry’s conference room in Banjul.
“I am encouraging you all to be punctual at work and do your assignments on time. Don’t spend most of your valuable time on social media, especially when you are at work,” she said.
She further stated that she has an open-door policy and that she believes in teamwork.
“ I am confident that the team here will help me settle down well and guide me along the way to catch up quickly. We all need to work on this critical sector and make it more vibrant,” she added.
The meeting was chaired by the Honourable Abdoulie Jobe, Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, and was also attended by Mr. Siaka Fadera, the new Deputy Permanent Secretary – Technical, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, along with staff from the Ministry.
