The Gambia Tourism Board, under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, is intensifying its domestic tourism campaign across the length and breadth of the country under the theme “Our Gambia, My Journey.”
The campaign, which kicks off last week with a special breakfast at Bakadaji Hotel in Kololi, before driving downtown to Kauren River Camp in Kaur hilltop, aims to showcase the rich variety of inland tourism experiences that many Gambians have not yet explored.
This strategic approach not only promotes national pride and cultural appreciation but also strengthens domestic tourism by encouraging residents to travel within the country, ultimately benefiting local communities and tourism enterprises.
In the coming days, a series of activities is expected to be held, all meant to brand, showcase, and market Destination Gambia.
Interesting places visited so far are Kauren River Camp, Hilltop view in Kaur, The Baboons Island in Kauntaur, Island Hotel in Janjanbureh, Tendaba Camp in Kiang.
The first leg of the campaign ended with a delicious lunch at Kunta Kinteh Complex in Kotu.
The Journey continues… Our Gambia, My Journey.
