Gambia Concludes Highly Successful Participation At Akwaaba 2026 In Nigeria

​The Gambia’s delegation to the Akwaaba African Travel Market has officially wrapped up its participation at this year’s trade fair.

The final day was highlighted by a dedicated Business-to-Business (B2B) engagement session designed to bolster trade ties, foster strategic partnerships, and expand regional tourism between The Gambia and members of the Nigerian travel trade.

The high-powered Gambian delegation underscored the country’s strong commitment to regional tourism integration and strategic collaboration. Notable dignitaries present throughout the engagements included:

​During the closing B2B networking sessions, Gambian delegates met directly with Nigerian tour operators, travel agents, and aviation stakeholders to present the country’s diverse attractions—from leisure and cultural experiences to its emerging Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) offerings.
